President: Navneet Singh
Navneet graduated from Stony Brook University in 2008. He is often remembered as the first drum major in Athletic Bands history, as well as one of the original 20 founding members. He has worked closely with the band to make sure that it continues to keep Stony Brook spirits high. Navneet is now studying medicine at St. George’s University in Grenada.
Vice President: Pamela Pfeil (Pamela Sheryll)
Pamela graduated from Stony Brook University in 2008 with a BA in history. She is a founding member of the Stony Brook Athletic Bands program and has worked hard since its formation to make it a successful part of the Stony Brook campus. Pamela is also an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran and Sergeant in the US Army. She is a Pampered Chef consultant, a wife, and a mom.
Secretary/Treasurer: Jonathan Milard
Jonathan graduated from Stony Brook University in 2012 with a degree in anthropology and a focus in social studies education. Jonathan entered the band during its third year of existence and has been involved in several different aspects of campus life ranging from participation in various clubs to organizing a flash mob his junior year. Since the completion of his bachelor’s degree at Stony Brook, he has participated in volunteer work abroad as well as AmeriCorps service and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Literacy Education.
Social Chair: Megan Spicer
Megan graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2012. She served as the first female drum major for three years. During her senior year, she worked closely with Dean Jeffrey Barnett to bring the annual band banquet off campus to a new location for years to come. She works as a reporter for a local Connecticut newspaper and an events co-coordinator with Amy Champagne Events.
Public Relations/Webmaster: Jay Epelman
Jay graduated from Stony Brook University in 2010 with a Bachelors in Psychology and again in 2012 with an MBA in Marketing and HR Management. During his time at Stony Brook, Jay was a part of the marching band, pep band and short-lived Dragons Band. He also worked with Campus Residences as a Resident Assistant and an Assistant Coordinator for the Residence Hall Association.
