OUTREACH & ADVOCACY
Stony Brook University is committed to providing a safe and caring environment for our students and advocating on behalf of all students at the university. The Office of the Dean of Students encourages you to get involved, stay active, and make healthy choices but we and our affiliated departments are also here to assist in times of difficulty. We provide support for a variety of student concerns, including illness, death in the family, financial difficulties, academic trouble, and other personal emergencies. Students and parent/family members may seek assistance, advocacy, and satisfactory resolutions to problems.
