Welcome to Campus Housing
Stony Brook provides housing to more than 9,600 residents including undergraduates, graduates and families in 51 residence halls and apartment style facilities. Our housing facilities are diverse and include students from across the globe.
If you are a new Undergraduate, you will qualify for housing if you applied by (date available shortly). You will receive an electronic notification of your assignment (including roommate names and contact information).
Your housing assignment will be held until 5 p.m. of the first day of classes (January 27, 2014). If you cannot arrive on campus by 5 p.m. on the first day of classes you must email the Office of Campus Residences at Reside@notes.cc.sunysb.edu prior to January 24, 2014. Your email should include:
Your Stony Brook ID Number
Your Email address (for contact purposes)
Your anticipated arrival date
Your assigned space will be held until close of business on the date of your arrival. You will be charged for each night that your space is held.The Campus Residences homepage provides a list of recommended items to properly furnish a student room. In addition there is a list of prohibited items that will not be permitted in any residence hall or apartment. In addition, the University strongly recommends that every resident purchase Personal Property Insurance to protect their valuables from loss or damage as the University does not cover resident’s personal belongings.
