Graduate Queer Alliance

Stony Brook's graduate-student queer organization. The Graduate Queer Alliance is an all-inclusive group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer people and their allies to create a sense of community for those in the sexual and gender minority, as well as increase awareness at Stony Brook University. The GQA is geared toward graduate students, but is open to the entire Stony Brook University community, and we welcome everyone to engage in social and academic discussions and other queer-centric activities.

Trans Alliance

The Transgender Alliance is a group that aims to give transgender students space to come together as a community, to advocate for awareness and change on campus and to relax together in a space where we are safe and people have a mutual understanding of the trans experience. We are open to binary and non-binary trans folks alike, from all different walks of life here on campus, as well as allies.

SBU TNG

The Next Generation (TNG) is a group that's sole purpose is to bring together Stony Brook students who are interested in learning more about the fetish community as a whole. We hold meetings at specific times during each school semester for open discussions free from judgment, as well as lectures about different topics across a wide range. It is a place where you can come and talk about any topic that you have always wanted to know more about, without feeling the 'vanilla' social pressure to restrain such feelings (because we have all been at that point). It can also be a place just to meet cool open minded people!

SBU StandUp Charter

We need people from all over the globe to stand up with us against the bullies and to bring a greater understanding as to why bullying occurs. By bringing people together in schools colleges and groups to concentrate their focus on how they can 'do their bit' we can literally save lives. Bullying must no longer be tolerated wherever and to whomever it happens.
