Emerging Leaders Magazine will provide the Stony Brook University community with several scholarly articles about the latest practices in leadership training and development as well as spotlight varies student leaders, organizations, and opportunities. These articles will be submitted by Stony Brook University’s leaders including advisers, faculty, staff, and students.

REVIEW & SELECTION PROCESS:
All submitted materials will be reviewed and edited by professional members of the Leadership Development Committee. The committee will inform all submitters if their article(s) is selected for the current issue to be published. Articles that are not selected for the current issue to be published will be saved subsequent issues of the magazine.
Please note that all articles submitted will become the property of the Leadership Development Committee and Stony Brook University and may be used in later editions of the Emerging Leaders Magazine partially or in its entirety. All creators of submitted materials will be credited for their published works.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS:
- All persons submitting materials to the Emerging Leaders Magazine must sign the Leadership Development Committee Contributor Agreement.
- All submissions must be scholarly in nature and proofed for spelling and grammatical errors.
- All submissions must be typed in a standard, 12-point font.
- All submissions must be written in English.
- All submissions should be no more than 250-500 words in length. All submissions must be original material created by the submitter or properly referenced in footnotes and a bibliography.
- Articles may be extracted from any field/focus but must draw from a theme related to leadership and/or leadership development, style or theory (preferably within the Higher Education/University/College community, however articles about leadership in other areas may be considered).
- Articles will not be returned to the authors. Please save your work.

- All submissions should be emailed to mjcolon@notes.cc.sunysb.edu.
- Please submit all materials as attachments to the e-mail in the form of Microsoft Word or Microsoft Works documents.

FAX OR MAILED SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- All submissions faxed or mailed must contain the following identifying information about the submitter.
- Title of the article
- Name
- Address and contact number
- E-mail address
- All submissions faxed or mailed must be received with a signed Leadership Development Committee Contributor Agreement.
- If a submission is faxed, please provide a cover sheet that contains the title of your article, your name and your contact number and fax number (if available) and the number of pages following.
- Please send your mailed submission at least 5 business days prior to the submission deadline to avoid delays.
