RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM LEADERSHIP AWARDS

Each year, the Residential Program puts together the Leadership Awards Ceremony & Reception as a way to recognize students, staff, programs, and initiatives that have contributed to the Residential community.

CATEGORIES AND CRITERIA

Educational Program of the Year
This award will be given to either an individual or group that created, developed, and implemented an outstanding educational program that has positively impacted the residential community.

NOTE: This recognition will be awarded to both a Hall Council or an Undergraduate College Council and a Resident Assistant or RA Committee.

Undergraduate College Program of the Year
This award will be given to either an individual or group that created, developed and implemented an outstanding Undergraduate College themed program that has positively impacted the residential community.

NOTE: This recognition will be awarded to both a Hall Council or an Undergraduate College Council and a Resident Assistant or RA Committee

Social Program of the Year
This award will be given to both individual or group that created, developed, implemented an outstanding social program that has positively fostered community, spirit, and pride.

NOTE: This recognition will be awarded to both a Hall/UGC Council or Resident Assistant/ RA Committee.

Outstanding Service by a Student Leader
This award is given to a residential graduate or undergraduate student leader who has demonstrated the ability to: motivate and recognize others; be a role model; use creativity to enhance the leadership role; inspire and encourage both involvement and participation.

NOTE: Current graduate or undergraduate resident assistants, assistant coordinators, or quad assistants are not eligible to receive this award.

Outstanding Service by a Resident Assistant
This award is given to a graduate or undergraduate Resident Assistant, who consistently exceeds the minimum job requirements, has a positive attitude, supports their team, develops a strong sense of community, and supports Building/Quad/Departmental goals.

Outstanding Community Builder
This award is given to an Undergraduate or Graduate Resident Assistant that exhibits excellence in bringing people together in their community, as well as fostering both spirit and pride with in their quad and campus as a whole.

Outstanding First Year Student
This award is given to a First Year Student who has positively contributed to their Undergraduate College, displays strong leadership skills, and demonstrated balance between academic involvement and extracurricular activities.

Hall or College Council of the Year
This award goes to the Hall Council or Undergraduate College Council that has impacted the residential community, developed student leaders, encouraged involvement, and fostered a sense of spirit, pride, and community.

Advisor of the Year
This award is given to a current Hall Council or Undergraduate College Council Advisor who has provided excellent guidance, support, development for their Council throughout the year.

RHA Representative of the Year
This award is given to a Residence Hall Association (RHA) Representative who is a role model for other representatives, has demonstrated strong leadership skills, and who has positively impacted the organization and campus community.

NRHH Member of the Year
This award goes to an outstanding current member of the Gina M. Vanacore Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary, who has gone above and beyond in their dedication and involvement to their chapter, as well as, has served the campus, and the local and global community.

Unsung Hero Award
This award is given to a student staff member who goes above and beyond to help others (Residents, staff members, professional staff members) and is not always recognized for their behind the scenes work.

Staff of the Year Award
This award is given to a staff that has gone above and beyond the minimum requirements, excels as a team, shows enthusiasm, is innovative, act as role models, and fosters a strong sense of community in their building.

Outstanding Collaborative Effort
This award is given to a building staff/Hall Council that has worked diligently together and supported one another, in order to promote a positive atmosphere throughout their building.
