Opportunities for Undergraduate Students

SOC 488 - Multicultural Affairs Internship
Offered by the Sociology Department to promote diversity and multicultural learning and community building. Students will assist the Office of Multicultural Affairs with program development and event planning.

AFS 283 - Community Service
Students enrolled in AFS 283 can receive academic credit for participating in a semester-long internship in Multicultural Affairs. This course is offered by the Department of Africana Studies and includes theory and practice in student leadership with emphasis in supporting the UNITI Cultural Center (UCC). Students assist with the development of the UCC as resource center and conduct outreach efforts to increase multicultural awareness on campus.
Undergraduate Opportunities

UNITI Cultural Center Student Assistant
Undergraduate students who have been granted Federal Work Study have the opportunity to work at the UNITI Cultural Center (UCC). UCC Student Assistants monitor and oversee the UCC facilities, including the quiet lounge and meeting rooms. Students will also assist the Office of Multicultural Affairs with events and major programs. Positions for the 2011-2012 academic year are currently filled.
