When

Orientation dates for freshmen are assigned based on a student's Undergraduate College and Special Group affiliation. In order to provide the best experience, we do have a cap on the number of attendees per orientation. Dates are assigned in order of deposits being paid and new student preference form being completed.

The specific date is communicated to students via postcard sent to their home address starting in May. This date is also available for view on the Advising Planning Form Confirmation page. If you have any questions regarding your orientation date, please contact our office at 631-632-6710.
Please Note: Should you need to reschedule or cancel your Summer (or January) Orientation reservation, you must call at least seven days prior to the scheduled session. All refund requests must be made in writing and all reimbursements will result in a $50 processing fee.

All Freshmen Orientations begin check-in at 8:30am in the Student Activities Center Lobby.
