Complete Advising Planning Form You must fill out the Advising Planning Form by June 15. This online form is located on Stony Brook's student information system, SOLAR. You will be asked a series of questions that will provide your Undergraduate College advisor the best information to help you construct an appropriate first semester schedule. Take Placement Tests Stony Brook University has four placement processes; Math, Writing, Foreign Language, and Chemistry. Most students have to take the Math placement test (this needs to be done before Orientation). Few need to take the Writing Placement test. The Foreign Language test is needed for students from out of state or who did not score high enough on Regents or AP tests. And finally, the Chemistry Placement is for students with some chemistry background looking to waive out of first-semester General Chemistry. |

Submit all of your AP and Transfer College credit Please submit all Advanced Placement scores to Stony Brook ELECTRONICALLY. The AP Services phone number is (609) 771-7300.
