Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Mission is to provide a comprehensive worksite-based program to assist faculty and staff in the prevention, early intervention and resolution of problems that may impact job performance. These include but are not limited to: emotional, family, work stress, legal, financial, grief, change, marital/relationship, alcohol/drug or domestic violence.

Human Resources Services (HR)
Human Resource Services is committed to supporting the University's mission of providing excellence in teaching, research, health care and economic development while complying with Federal and State laws, regulatory agency mandates and collective bargaining agreements. This will be accomplished by offering programs and services that assist individual employees and all departments in meeting their respective functional responsibilities.

United University Professions (UUP)
This is the Stony Brook Core Campus Chapter of United University Professions; the union representing nearly 30,000 academic and professional faculty on 29 state-operated State University of New York campuses, plus the New York State Theatre Institute. The women and men who make up UUP train the next generation of workers and leaders. They also engage in groundbreaking research and provide invaluable service to their communities.

The CSEA Employee Benefit Fund is a Trust Fund managed by a Board of Trustees comprised of CSEA members and chaired by CSEA President Danny Donohue. The Fund was originally created in 1979 to provide Dental and Prescription Drug benefits to the State CSEA membership. In 1980, the Fund expanded its scope to include coverage for Local Government Units who negotiated Dental and Prescription Drug benefits into their Collective Bargaining Agreements.

The Employee and Labor Relations Department
The Employee and Labor Relations Department provides assistance to the SUNY Stony Brook and Research Foundation employee community in promoting a productive and positive work environment on campus.We advise supervisors regarding the development of solutions to address workspace issues and to resolve workplace conflict which recognizes both organizational and individual needs and objectives. Adherence to University Policy, Research Foundation Policy, collective bargaining and appropriate past practice are integral parts of the solutions recommended.
