Description: The SBU Lion Dance Team (SBULDT) promotes the cultural performance of Lion Dance. Following the Hoksan Style routines/movements, SBULDT takes the sport of Lion Dancing in schools to a new high. We perform for student events and department activities. Lunar New Year is our busiest season as we also perform for the greater Stony Brook Community.
The purpose of this team is to promote group work/team-ship, to represent SBU at intercollegiate Lion Dance competitions and to overall promote a style of Asian culture which trains physically and mentally.
Practice days and times: Sundays at 7 p.m.
