In response to the increasing demand for on-campus housing from new and continuing students, the University has commenced the construction of the Toll Drive Project, which is located between Mendelsohn Quad and Toll Drive. The project will provide 759 additional beds and a 60,000 square foot state of the art dining facility for SBU students, staff, and faculty.

Currently the site work, foundations, structural framing, and utility installations are occurring for both phase 1 and phase 2. The project is scheduled for completion by Fall 2016. The new residence halls will bring the total campus housing inventory above 10,300 beds. The new facility will be suite style, single room design, upper division student housing, with hopes of gaining LEED Certification.

Don't forget to come back often and check as the construction project progresses!
