The Division of Campus Residences is seeking an undergraduate Marketing Assistant and a graduate Marketing Coordinator. The individuals selected will work as part of the Marketing and Community Relations team within Campus Residences.

 

Marketing Coordinator Position

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work during Summer 2017 (May 23rd-August 28th), Spring 2017, Fall 2017, and Spring 2018.
  • The individual selected must be enrolled in a Stony Brook University Graduate School Program by Fall 2017 and must reside on campus.

Position Description:

  • Manage all Campus Residences Marketing Team employees including assistants, photographers, and graphic designers.
  • Oversee all Campus Residences social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube)
  • Provide social media team with partner content to share on social platforms.
  • Spearhead any Campus Residences marketing initiatives, including creation of marketing plans, social media plans, and additional initiative plans.
  • Attend all Stony Brook University marketing-related meetings including Social Media Users Group
  • Assist in the strategic planning on the marketing and promotion of Campus residences programs and events.
  • Manage and update all Campus Residences and affiliate webpages.
  • Spearhead Marketing initiatives for Campus residences programs including Residential Tutoring Centers, Residential Fitness centers, etc.
  • Act as liaison between Campus Residences and other division partners
  • Direct all Campus residences Marketing Team staff meetings.
  • Work closely with the Associate Director of Residential Programs  to plan, strategize, and execute marketing plans for year.
  • Maintain Campus residences and Stony Brook University events calendar to schedule promotions and assist in events.

The selected individuals are required to reside on campus during the entire period of employment. Marketing Assistant Position

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work during Summer 2017 (May 23rd-August 28th), Spring 2017, Fall 2017, and Spring 2018.
  • The individual selected must be a matriculated Stony Brook student, enrolled full time and must reside on campus.

Position Description:

  • Manage all Campus Residences social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube)
    • Schedule and create posts on Facebook account
    • Respond to messages and comments on Facebook account
    • Schedule and create posts on Twitter account
    • Respond to messages and comments on Twitter account
  • Research and develop new content and ideas for marketing and promoting events
    • Create bulletin board content using Slides or Publisher
    • Create flyers for events on Publisher or Adobe Photoshop
  • Attend on campus events to cover social media such as:
    • Roth Regatta Snapchat story
    • Empire Clash Snapchat story
    • Men’s Basketball vs. UAlbany Snapchat story
  • Create scripts for Campus Residences videos
  • Attend weekly Campus Residences marketing team meetings

Social media and graphic design skills is preferred: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and the Microsoft Office Suite, Help design flyers and Banners for promotion, Conceptualize creative marketing campaigns.

The selected individuals are required to reside on campus during the entire period of employment.
