All RHA members are elected representatives of their residence hall, and also serve as members of the Residence Hall Council Eboard. Every residence hall has two to three RHA representatives. Their responsibilities include:
-
Acting as a liaison between the Residence Hall Council and RHA
-
Attending all RHA general body meetings
-
Relaying announcements to the Residence Hall Council
-
Assisting RHA with major programs and events on campus
RHA representatives are an important asset to the Stony Brook community. They help reach RHA’s goals and mission to develop leadership among residents and create a better community within the campus.
All residents are eligible to run for RHA representative for their respective residence hall. However, you must be elected during a Residence Hall Council meeting.
Ask your RHD or RA how you can become an RHA representative.
