Call for Programs

Program sessions will be divided into 50 minute segments.  There will be a track for Resident Assistants (RA) and a track for Professional Staff.  
 
Themes to focus on include:
  • Achieving Excellence in the RA Role
  • Staying Connected in Communities Through Change
  • Foster Creative Thinking & Innovation
  • Changing Role of Residence Life 
  • Higher Education & Social Change
RA Learning Outcomes: 
  • Participants will be able to articulate and identify specific measure of what excellence means in the RA role.

  • Participants will foster an environment that promotes creative thinking and innovation.

  • Participants will demonstrate how to stay connected as students and communities change in Higher Education

Professional Staff Learning Outcomes:

We are placing an emphasis on workshop-style sessions that encourage discussion among the professional staff. These interactive sessions should promote collaboration, engage the audience through activities that will help them dive deeper into the material.  We also have an additional set of learning objectives to help guide the narrative to ensure high-quality content that reflects our role in the student experience.

 

  • Participants will be able to identify how the role of Residence Life has changed over time.

  • Participants will be able to understand Higher Education role in Social Change
