Applications will be accepted until 5:00PM on July 7, 2017.
Acceptance to be a Welcome Wagon Volunteer is based on a first come basis as well
as meeting all minimum requirements. Notification of acceptance will be sent by August
1st, 2017 via email.
All volunteers will be contacted via e-mail with approval of application, training
day details, and assignment information.
You must complete a proper check in for your room via the Quad Office on 8/23/17 between
8:30am and 5pm.
Volunteers may be assigned to Quads and/or Residence Halls different from their own.
Only approved volunteers may move into their Residence halls early. All others (including
room/suitemates) will be asked to vacate, billed for early move-in, and/or face judicial
action for unauthorized entry.
All Welcome Wagon Volunteers are expected to adhere to all expectations of the Student
Conduct Code while at Stony Brook University. If a Welcome Wagon Volunteer is found
in violation of any conduct code(s) they will remove their items from their room and
move back in on Sunday 8/27/17. Welcome Wagon Volunteers will also be billed for the early access fee.
Welcome Wagon Volunteers that fail to appear for their assigned shift will also be
charged the early access fee.
