CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

Stony Brook University has close to 300 recognized student clubs and organizations. These student groups provide scholastic, recreational, intellectual, cultural and social opportunities for interaction.

Being involved in co-curricular activities create learning opportunities for students to increase their leadership skills and abilities, further enhance their personal and scholastic development, along with defining and shaping their career goals.

The University encourages students to explore the various student clubs and organizations at Stony Brook. At the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters, the Department of Student Activities coordinates a club and organization Involvement Fair. The purpose of this fair is to provide students with the opportunity to meet club and organization members, obtain information, and ask questions.

This event is a great opportunity to find out more about student groups and is a lot of fun to attend. Students unable to attend can pick up a club and organization listing at the Office of Student Activities, Student Activities Center, Suite 218.
