The Long Island College Art Competition (LICA) will be held at the SAC Gallery at Stony Brook University.

All submissions must be delivered on Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6, 2009 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Opening Reception, Awards Ceremony: Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 6-8  p.m.

If faculty or department chooses to drop off work each piece must be accompanied by photocopy of student ID and an acceptance form signed by student. Faculty is responsible for deliver and pick-up of work. Each entrant is permitted one work.

Each entrant is permitted one work and all entries must be accompanied by a current student identification.

Only students attending Colleges or Universities in Nassau and Suffolk counties may participate.

Wall works may not exceed 30" x 40" without express prior and written approval of both the originating department and the SAC Gallery.

All wall work must be ready to hang.

Sculpture may not exceed 40" x 40" X 40" without express prior and written approval of both the originating department and the SAC Gallery. All work must be stable and ready to be installed.

Installation and other media must receive prior and written approval by both the originating department and the SAC Gallery.

Video, computer and other time-based media must supply their own electronics unless they can be viewed on the galleries electronics. The gallery will provide a video monitor and a single on-line computer from which these media may be viewed.

Videos must be submitted on DVD.

All decisions by the Jurors are final. All prizes are guaranteed by the manufacturer and not Stony Brook University or the SAC Gallery.

All work must be picked up Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27, 2009 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Due to limitations of space, no work can be stored.

In the case of overflow, the SAC gallery will be the final decision on installation. All works will be installed.
