I document everyday gestures and repetitive behaviors in my work. I am interested in human behaviors that appear mechanical, and the fine line that distinguishes "normal" behavior from unhealthy or pathological behavior. In my most recent body of work, I documented marching bands at the Bush inauguration. Translating from video to sewing, I explore associations among themes of mechanization, nationalism, women's labor, and my own productive process.
