Smoking Cessation

Stop Smoking Now!

For those student who smoke and would like to quit, the Stony Brook University Student Health Service has Nicotine Replacement Therapy (gum, patch) available at no cost to students. To obtain a Nicotine Replacement Therapy product, students are encouraged to contact the Student Health Service at 631-632-6740 to schedule an appointment to speak with professional staff about their desire to quit. After consultation, students may receive Nicotine Replacement Therapy product (gum, patch) to support their efforts.

Students are encouraged to contact the Center for Prevention and Outreach Health Education Office at 631-632-9338 for information related to upcoming Tobacco Cessation programs, including workshops with the Suffolk County Department of Health "Learn to be... Tobacco Free" program (anticipate scheduling workshop series on campus during the Fall 2013 semester).
