Helpful Tips

• Maintain your own records of correspondence received from and sent to the Veterans Administration. Also keep a log of all payments received including: the date the check was issued, the amount, and the period for which you received payment.
• Don't count on receiving VA benefits as of a certain date. Arrange for alternative financing (i.e., financial aid, loans) in case there is a long delay.
